Location Suggestions for Family Reunion?

Hi--

I%26#39;m looking for an area in Kentucky, Southern Indiana or Southern Ohio to have a family reunion in Summer 2009 for about 25 people (of all ages).

We have families coming from Georgia and Chicago, so we%26#39;re looking for a place in-between. We%26#39;ve had reunions in Gatlinburg and LOVED the area, so we%26#39;re looking for something with similar scenery, attractions and cabin-style lodging. (mountains, amusements, shopping, shows, pools, etc.)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Kentucky has some great state parks with cabins available. In fact, my family had a reunion several years ago at Kentucky Dam State Park in one of the executive cabins. Check out parks.ky.gov.

Is anyone flying in, or is everyone driving?

The Cincinnati airport is actually located in northern Kentucky and serves as a semi-hub for Delta. The Louisville airport has several Southwest flights at good prices. If everyone is driving, you have more options.

Thanks for the response. The area you mentioned looks nice, but doesn%26#39;t seem to have a lot of nearby attractions (go carts, bungie, water slides, theater, etc...). Perhaps I missed something. Thanks again.

Whew. You%26#39;re really going to be hard pressed to find a Gatlinburg or Branson sort of area here.

Again, are you driving or flying, or both?

If some are flying, then go to Louisville. It%26#39;s a great city, and lots of entertainment, shopping, and Kentucky Kingdom for kids. Or Cincinnati and King%26#39;s Island.

If you%26#39;re driving, you have the option of Holiday World in southern Indiana.
