Derby visitors, bring your poncho!

You won%26#39;t be allowed to carry an umbrella and we%26#39;re expeting rain so please pack your rain poncho! Here%26#39;s the official can/can%26#39;t bring list. Have a wonderful time!





Alcoholic beverages of any kind;



Glass bottles or containers;



Grills;



Thermoses;



Backpacks;



Luggage (includes briefcases);



Duffel bags;



Wagons;



Umbrellas;



Weapons, including knives.



Along with the infield-bound coolers, items permitted for carry-in to Churchill



Downs on Oaks and Derby Days include:







Food items in clear plastic bags (maximum size 18”x 18” – no trash bags) – LIMIT TWO (2) PER PERSON;



“Box” lunches if packaged in clear plastic bags or plastic containers (maximum size 18” x 18” – no trash bags) – LIMIT TWO (2) PER PERSON;



Sunscreen (non-glass containers only);



Cellular telephones, cameras, and camcorders (patrons may be required to turn electronic items ‘on’ before entry is allowed);



Small personal music systems, radios and televisions – no “boom boxes”;



Binoculars;



Purses and baby bags (all subject to search);



Strollers (only if carrying a child – no other items allowed);



Seat cushions (no backs);



Chairs (Gate 3 only);



Blankets (Gates 1 %26amp; 3 for infield use only);



Tarpaulins (Gates 1 %26amp; 3 for infield use only)

I%26#39;ve got mine packed already! We%26#39;re just waiting for Grandma to arrive for Baby Duty and then we%26#39;re on the road. Can%26#39;t wait!




I have a feeling that Infield is going to be EXTRA muddy this year. We usually do a walk through sometime in the late afternoon to check out the madness. May have to skip it this time.
