Linda, I just read that you are a musician. Did you happen to know my brother, Bron Jenkins. He was drummer. He passed away in 2001.
Question to Linda
No, I don%26#39;t think so. Who did he play with?
Question to Linda
He played with many groups, taught at Mel Owens. He was a music ed major at U of L. He worked with kids with the Leopard Percussionist [spell sorry] He was very close to Jeff Jarboe and Jeff Rehmet. I can%26#39;t remember the name of Jeff%26#39;s band. I know they go to many schools around town are are very interactive with kids. I did not realize how close the musicians were in this town until after he died. Anyhow just thought I would ask, Louisville can be such a small world, the reason I love this city.
Oh, that%26#39;s a shame. I know I haven%26#39;t worked with him but I might have met him as I did a gig down at the Center with the Leopards. What a great group! I%26#39;m working with a drummer right now who teaches at Mel Owens, small world. Jeff Jarboe and the other Wulfe Bros (pack) are old friends of mine. I know Jeff well (JBoy). I used to play keyboards with Christopher Robin in 1972-3 and Quickdraw down at Eddie Donaldson%26#39;s from 75-81. After that, I soloed while going to UofL. I still do a solo/duo but have a new band and I fill in with the Fanatics, Flying Martinis, Toulouse and Johnny Combo. I also play the calliope on the Belle of Louisville!
Small Small world. Jeff Jarbo is awsome, he calls my parents every single year on the anniversery of his death. We gave him some of my brothers equipment. He still carries sticks that belonged to Bron.
I have been on TA planning a trip to CA. Then the swine flu deal so I have been keeping an eye on the Cancun Forum but my husbands company cancelled trips to Mexico thank goodness. There is now a case in Lagrange, Ky 30 year old woman who was in Cancun. op
Nice meeting you maybe we will see you around Louisville sometime. I have another good friend who%26#39;s husband is in a band. Draper is their last name. As usual with my memory I can%26#39;t remember the name but I love his group!
