Restaurants

I am trying to select a couple of restaurants for Derby Weekend. Right now I have a reservation at Jack Fry%26#39;s %26amp; Cafe Lou Lou. Are these places good?

I really want to experience local Louisville favorites. I look forward to hearing your recommendations.

Thanks

Restaurants

Yes, they are both good. Jack Fry%26#39;s is a bit more upscale and expensive. I%26#39;m not sure if either place has a Deby only menu...pretty sure Lou Lou%26#39;s doesn%26#39;t. Lots of restaurants have a limited menu at an inflated price. You should keep your reservations, as it%26#39;s too late to get any better ones, IMO. Try the shrimp and grits at Jack Fry%26#39;s!

Have a great time!

Jack Fry%26#39;s is outstanding and always ranked at the very top in Louisville. I wouldn%26#39;t consider Cafe Lou Lou in the same category although I have not heard bad things about it. Other local favorites would be Seviche, Asiatique, August Moon, Vincenzo%26#39;s, and Lilly%26#39;s.

I doubt very seriously they have any openings. Perhaps Vincenzo%26#39;s..not sure if August Moon is taking reservations, but I am pretty sure the others are full. You can ask the chefs, servers, owners and experts at www.louisvillehotbytes.com

Love, love, love Cafe Lou Lou! It%26#39;s casual and fun and the food is excellent. The meze plate appetizer is amazing!

My fav right now is Havana Rumba.

But, they don%26#39;t take reservations.

Good luck and have fun.

Yes, it%26#39;s a great place. I%26#39;ll bet it%26#39;s swamped that night! Did you know that Mr Martinez sold Havana Rumba and Mojitos? He%26#39;s opening a new place in the Caribbean.
