Hi
I have to travel to Paducah from India in April.
I believe there is the Barkley Regional Airport at Paducah and the nearest international airport is Nashville International Airport, Nashville Tennessee.
I want to find out the best way to reach Paducah from any one of the
following international airports (Listed in order of my priority):
Miami
JFK
Washington DC, or Baltimore
Chicago
Detroit
I am willing to travel the last leg by road also.
Please help..
Thank you

I think we need more information before we can help you. You don%26#39;t want to fly into Nashville? (which is obviously much closer than the other airports) Can you rent a car from one of the other places, or need an alternate form of transportation? Chicago would probably be closer than your other choices. Tell us more, and may be we can give you more information.

Thanx!
I am open to travelling to Nashville.
I have just discovered a direct flight from Miami to Nashville. I guess I will take that, and then hire a taxi to Paducah.
That%26#39;s going to be a mighty expensive taxi ride! I live half way between the two, and guess the distance at about 150 miles.
I believe the only airline that serves Paducah is Northwest, with connection to Memphis. That would probably involve flying into Detroit or Minneapolis, then to Memphis, then to Paducah. Probably easier to fly into Nashville and rent a car.
Thanx everyone for the advice.
I guess as suggested, flying into Nashville and then renting a car seems to be the most viable option.
Any idea how long the drive would be? Also can I get cabs from Nashville airport to Paducah??
Thanx again
The drive would be about 2 1/2 hours. I won%26#39;t say that you CAN%26#39;T get a cab from Nashville to Paducah - but I WILL say that I%26#39;ve never heard of anyone doing it.
Here is the website for Paducah airport. http://www.barkleyregional.com/
There might be some information for you there.
If you%26#39;re going to be in town several days, it might be worth the money to fly to Paducah rather than renting a car from Nashville.
You might want to check expedia.com to compare prices for flights to Nashville versus Paducah.
If you are coming for the quilt show, look into shuttle buses from Nashville. I%26#39;m almost positive some company offers a shuttle from the airport. I%26#39;m not sure how cost would compare though to renting a car.
Also, I have heard of people taking a taxi to Paducah from Nashville. Though expensive, you might try the quilt show message boards to try to arrange sharing a cab with someone.
