visiting Louisville /day trip to Loretto /recommended stops?

Hi there,

Will be visiting Louisville this week, have decided to do the Makers Mark tour in Loretto (since Woodford Reserve appears to be closed on Sundays).

Can anyone recommend other stops along the way between Louisville and Loretto as we drive down and back? Food places, shops, dairys, etc.

Would be nice to see something other than the distillery.

Visit the lovely little town of Bardstown KY and ';My Old KY Home'; where Stephen Foster visited and supposedly penned his classic.

Loretto is only about 7 miles from Springfield, where people claim to have seen The Virgin Mary. Might be an interesting stop.
