My husband and I are considering moving to Bowling Green from Wisconsin. I would appreciate any feedback on things people like about living in BG and things that may be difficult for a newcomer. I have noticed the cost of living seems very low--but so do the salaries! Thank you!
Moving to Bowling Green
I live about 90 minutes from BG, and think it is a very nice town and the home of WKU. You%26#39;re right about the cost of living - AND the salaries. I think what you%26#39;d like best is the difference in the weather between here and Wisconsin (with the exception of this past week!!!)
Moving to Bowling Green
A little more info would be helpful.
Why are you moving to BG?
What is your age range?
Family size?
Like Sports, University Life?
Buying or Renting?
Long rang plans?
What do you do for recreation?
I lived in BG for 35 years and still have strong ties to the community.
Give us some background and we will provide some objective information.
Thanks!!
This website is going to be fussing about us talking about moving to Bowling Green, since this is a site about travel.
But I%26#39;ll go ahead and give you my two cents.
I am native to Kentucky, but studied out of state and travel some throughout the world.
I absolutely LOVE Bowling Green.
For its size, you cannot find a more diverse and open-minded city. Nearly half of the people who live in BG are not from here. You will meet people from all over the world. Everyone realizes that there is a larger world in which we live.
There are lots of great restaurants with lots of diversity. Nashville is only an hour away by car, and Louisville is less than 2 hours. Both have good airports and many cultural and other offerings.
If you want more info, send a message to me directly, and I would be more than happy to provide more info.
