Keeneland 09!

Hey All

I am looking into going to the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (yes I know i am planning a bit late!!).

I%26#39;ll be a female traveling solo so hoping for any advice you can give. I have heard it would be great to stay downtown for the night life after the races, but need to wonder about the safest way to get from a downtown hotel to the track (just in case I have some drinks during the day...lol). Open to any suggestions!

Thank you!

The bus system runs an express route from the transit center downtown to Keeneland. If you are staying at the Hyatt, you would have to walk about 5 blocks to the transit center. Your other option would be to take a cab, and that would be more expensive.

It is route 38

Also, if you stay at the Hyatt they run a complimentary shuttle to the airport which is across the street from Keeneland. Maybe the shuttle would take you across the street to Keeneland as well or you could take the free shuttle to the airport and then catch a cab from the airport to the track across the street. It is a little far to walk. I am not saying you should stay at the Hyatt necessarily, but just FYI, I booked a room on hotwire for the week before you are going and it was only 64.00 a night. It won%26#39;t tell you the name of the hotel until you book, but it is a 4 star hotel in Lexington north and Lexington only has a few hotels that fall in that category.
