Information on Churchill Downs Tours

I understand there are tours given at Churchill Downs. Do you know how long they last, do you need reservations, and the price of the tours ? We would also like to stay for at least one horse race. We will be visiting for one afternoon on Sunday June 21. Thank you.

A short walking tour of the grandstand is included in the price of admission to the Kentucky Derby Museum, adjacent to Gate 1 of Churchill Downs at 700 Central Ave. It%26#39;s $15.00 for adults, but it%26#39;s worth it. I haven%26#39;t taken the tour lately, but I remember it being somewhere in the neighborhood of a half an hour. If you want to go for the gusto, you can try a VIP tour through the museum, but they may not offer them during the live meet. Check the link below for that.

You%26#39;re in luck, there will be live racing that day.

That%26#39;s a separate admission charge, depending on where you want to go, but it%26#39;s nominal (1-3 dollars).

I%26#39;d be tempted to save the museum money for a few wagers...you can tour the place on your own between races.

I%26#39;m betting you%26#39;ll want to stay for a few more after watching one race.
