Hey, Lexington CVB. I have been the destination expert for Lexington for some time now and would like to welcome you to the forum. I am sure your knowledge and opinions will be very useful. We all try to make sure all posts are answered, but I don%26#39;t know everything and look forward to your posts.
That being said, I live in Atlanta now and will be in town this coming weekend for the Keeneland opening. I have tentative plans for a few things, but do you have any suggestions for anything I should check out since I was last in town in October, or that will be going on this weekend?

Hi Georgeglass! There are a couple of events happening in downtown. April 2-5 in Heritage Hall and Rupp Arena is the Central Kentucky Home, Garden and Flower Show featuring everything home and garden (visit www.ckyhomeshow.com for more information). The Lexington Opera House will be presenting Broadway Live: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on April 3-5 (go to lexingtonoperahouse.com/news.php#spellingBee for more about the play and how to get tickets). Be sure to stop by the Lexington Center and shop in The Kentucky Proud Market. The store just opened and sells everything Kentucky from wine to Ale-8 memorabilia (www.kentuckyproudmarket.com)!
If you%26#39;re downtown Monday-Friday 8:30-5 or Saturday 10-5, stop by and see us at 301 East Vine Street (on the corner of Rose Street and Vine Street). Have fun at Keeneland!
I have enjoyed Lexington a few times, and the CVB has always been very helpful with my plans and activities. Nice building, nice exhibits/displays and nice people! Thanks for being there!
