Allow plenty of time! We took I-75 from Ohio to FLA during spring break one year, and it was like a parking lot the entire way.

Where in FL are you travelling to? I know 75 can be bad at times, but most of KY has now been 3 laned. There really are not a lot of other options unless you are travelling to the western part of the state in the panhandle and then you may another option.

There is some construction going on in the stretch between Cincinnati and Lexington. You can check http://511.ky.gov/ for fairly up to date construction and traffic alert information.

Thank you for your replies very much appreciated!! Actually I indicated March break but we are leaving in a few days. I did not realize there were so many cars on the road so thats good to know. Its our first time driving and just knowing up front what some of the road conditions are like make it abit more bearable. Thanks again! :)
